So basically the 4th bench spot is gonna go to the guy who is the least pathetic in spring? Great! I’m guessing unless one of the 3 (Tolbert, Casilla, or Jones) starts showing some improvement soon it looks like, by default, Casilla will make the team since he is out of options.

Butera seems like the right choice to backup Maur… Ramos needs to play everyday.

I hope Perkins can pitch better soon so the Twins can trade him for decent value.

I felt the same way last year about Citi Field. How you get to see it first in the game before any real games. The Stadium in the game didn't really look like the actual stadium though. http://alwaysmets.wordpress.com/

Someone needs to dig a bit deeper into the archives and find a recording of the Twins anthem from before the late 80s keyboard synth era / jazz version. These versions have always bugged me, but they seem to be all the internet has.

what a classy guy!! I am really happy that the Twins went out and signed a legitimate 2B. We have not had one since Castillo, and Chucky before him. Its really good to see another legit 2B…I wonder if the Twins offer another contract after this year if Orlando performs as expected.

Its good to have our boys back. Orlando looks really good in a Twins uniform. Can’t wait to see the Hardy-Hudson double play combo in action! This will be a really fun spring as we get to watch and see the new guys perform and also see Ben Revere and other prospects get a shot with the big boys!

Thanks for pointing out Baker’s near perfect game. I guess it doesn’t feel like it was that long ago. I’ll make the correction.

The third pitcher was somewhat difficult. Liriano had a great season in 2006, and with no Tommy John surgery, he might have been the clear favorite.

Also, I think I overlooked Guerrier a bit for some reason. He pitched in 6 seasons, and posted a 3.41 ERA in 401 innings.
